FRENCH FOURRAGE, CROSS OF WAR /CROIX DE GUERRE RED/GREEN, BRASS TIP (ONE RED STRIPE WITH ONE GREEN STRIPE)  OUT OF PACKAGE - VGC /NEAR EUC - TARNISH ONLY - CORD IS PERFECT AUTHORIZED FOR WEAR AWARDED TO 5TH MARDIV, 2ID, 7ID, 23ID, 82AB  The French Fourragere shoulder cord is awarded by the French government when a unit has been citied twice for the French Cross of War (Croix de Guerre). The award of the fourragere is not automatic but must be by specific decree of the French government. The French fourragere may be worn when authorized for either pernament or temporary wear. The fourragere is worn over the left shoulder of the USMC, Army dress and full dress uniform. The cord goes under the arm and attaches to a regulation small Epaulet button left.

A fine and genuine period informative magazine., issued two months before Col. George Washington took command of the land forces during the French and Indian War.

Issue published in double columns for maximum information., and is a magazine covering in detail all sorts of subjects, from sciences and medical and the war in the British Provinces of America.  Small 8vo., clean, no odors. 46pp.

This issue has a load of great information , just as it was happening., and as they got the news from the ship arrivals., news of a new coating on the insides of muskets to make the ball fly faster, saying it is a secret., the section is quite detailed.  Also improvements to church music that even the uneducated can enjoy the music.

News and good section on education of the German Pennsylvania population [ likely Amish ancesters ].,  news and details of the conflict between France and Britain and the American Plantations, and news of the French in Virigina with large convoys of troops and supplies and that Pepperell and Shirley's Regiments were up to full capacity., [ Pepperell was knighted after his capture of the French fort in Canada. Sir William Pepperell, the only American colonist Knighted. Shirley, became the Colonial Governor of Massachusetts-Bay., MUCH MUCH MORE., a fine and scarce magazine issue. No odors, no stains.
