This is a first edition and the only volume produced.  The book is complete with 148 pages, the original light brown cloth covers with gold lettering on the front and spine and gilt page edges.  It is illustrated with 30 lithographic portraits of Union Commanders.  The text includes a list of Union and Rebel victories for the year 1861 and early 1862.  And  4 pages of publisher’s advertisements.

Condition is very good, binding is tight, pages are clean with minor foxing to the portrait tissues and portraits.     There is wear to top outer spine (see photo).

Hard Cover of brown cloth with black lettering front and spine. Hinges are solid, binding is tight. Spine has moderate wear at head and heel. Corners are sharp to lightly bumped. Inside hinges are strong, pages are clean - no writing or marking, no stamps or tags. NOT an ex-library book.

Book measures 6 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches and contains xxiv-184 pages, complete, no missing pages, no loose pages, no torn pages.

Indian War era dark blue wool frock coat. The buttons are marked Goodwins July 26, 1876. 2 inside pockets, fully lined. Great condition. 38" chest.
