British War medal group with Military Medal awarded to Rifleman Pade Thapa, 3rd Gurkha Rifles, Indian Army. The group consists of: British Military Medal (M.M., Silver, King George VI, type 1, officially impressed: 3665 Rfn. Pade Thapa, 3 G.R.) (serial number corrected); British 1939-45 Star (unnamed); British Italy Star (unnamed); British Defence Medal (unnamed); British War Medal 1939-45 (unnamed). Thapa was awarded the Military Medal (London Gazette, March 8, 1945) "In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Italy." The awards are swing mounted for wear with official ribbon and are in Very Fine condition. The British Military Medal was instituted on March 25, 1916, and could be awarded to noncommissioned officers and men of the Army for bravery in combat. Only 15,000 Military Medals were awarded to British Commonwealth Forces during World War II. It is considered to be the equivalent of a Silver Star in the American award system. . The British 1939-45 Star was awarded to any military personnel serving for six months in an operational command between September 3, 1939, and September 2, 1945. Operational service brought to an end through death, disability, or wound, also qualified for the award of the 1939-45 Star, irrespective of length of service. The British Italy Star was awarded for operational service in Sicily or Italy between June 11, 1943, and May 8, 1945. The British Defence Medal was awarded to any military personnel and some civilians related to civil defense serving in nonoperational areas threatened by the enemy between September 3, 1939, and September 2, 1945 (qualification time varied depending on type of service). DESERTPETE4's ENTIRE MILITARY INVENTORY

DESERTPETE4's ENTIRE MILITARY INVENTORY

                                                    FOR   SALE             DESERTPETE4’s ENTIRE MILITARY

INVENTORY on eBAY and in the U.S

DesertPete4 has been a mainstay of unique militaria on eBay since 1999, especially from the old Soviet Bloc. Our reputation has been above reproach and our contacts in the Balkans, especially, have been about as good as it can get. You are also buying those contacts  if you want them.

My reasons for selling off this part of the business are these:

I have other business in the region and my asking price will enable me to make other investments there.       I sell exclusively on the internet, in fact almost exclusively on eBay and the “new” market for military sales from that region will come from the storehouses of old militaria that can be sold not only on the internet but also at retail/wholesale and at military shows. The vendors there I will introduce you to, as my exclusive successor, also sell on the internet, and higher-end collectibles such as uniforms from the Royal era and earlier, now have such a good market in the EU it is impossible for me to buy and bring to the States to sell at a profit. Direct access to that market, with cash, will provide a collector-buyer with a distinct buying advantage.     I’m in my 60s now and see that the next levels of investment growth for this market, at least 10 years in the Balkans, and even longer in smaller Black Sea and Baltic countries as Russia begins to withdraw once again, are for a younger man with access to quicker cash turnaround.
NOTE: The Owner of the Inventory shown suddenly died on 12 July, 2009, and I am helping his widow dispose of the inventory that is shown in the photos here. This may be  a good opportunity to deal. The best buyer will be one who is:    1) a private collector as well as dealer, as the things you wish to collect can only be found there, and not through a middle-man such as me. CASH IS STILL KING and many items Bulgarian sellers are offering can be had at greatly reduced prices if the cash is in hand and you are there.

   2) a retailer/wholesaler, as well as eBay seller, and military show participant. My latest visits to Bulgaria turned up (multiple) warehouses filled with items of which I could only justify buying 4-5 pcs each, but dozens, even hundreds were available. No American or European has as yet tapped this market. I am the only American with the close contacts to be able to do.

(See my eBay Store under Vintage Political and Militaria,

Military Insignia, Pins and Medals, Military Photos and cards,

Military/Political Posters…all are included, PLUS an option on

Cigarettes and medical items from that era, which we sell to re-enactors.)
The Offer:  The entire Inventory of MILITARY ONLY (not political or Chinese items, incl a few military books) Not included is the

1884 San Stefano tapestry, but you will have an option on it at a Reduced price.

:  Political items are optional, other items such

as tobacco and medical items are also optional

           :  Non-Competition Agreement

(I will continue buying in Bulgaria, but not military items and

will guarantee in writing not to offer any military items (except locally procured) on the

               the internet.

:  Introduction to all my Bulgarian sources, at Buyer’s

chosen time, app 1 week (You’ll need a passport, est one week

air/ lodging, expect to pay $1200-$1500.

I've attached photos of just one small private warehouse from which we draw. Those items come from still larger government warehouses. Most of the items cannot be found anywhere else, and are being sold one piece at a time. They just beg for quick sale at wholesale prices. The photos shown ARE NOT PART OF THE CURRENT OFFER, EXCEPT ACCESS TO THEM

BASIS:   Offer based on a fraction (app 1/3rd- 1/2) of retail value.

You can do your own math, but UNIQUE military items at auction now are valued over $16,000. Multiples, mostly posters, WWII kepis, shoulder boards, (a list can be sent) are valued at another $35,000, bringing the total to USD 51,000. (Also included is approx $1000 in German WWII items not shown on eBay.) I estimate my actual cost, including air shipping for those goods, to be $ 18,500.

So our opening offer is below cost.

I’ve tacked on another $5000 for the business itself, especially in introducing the winner to all my contacts in Bulgaria as well as a guided tour of how to buy there, where, and logistics of importing into the US.
If you only want the inventory and don't want to travel I can serve as an agent, or we can adjust the price. eBay will still get their fees.  JUST PULL THE BEST OFFER BUTTON AND WE CAN DISCUSS IT.
Process:

Winner will, upon notification, pay to me via Paypal $500, which will serve as a non-refundable down-payment.

Winner will have 60 days to complete the payment and transfer of property. The sooner the better as all items will remain active in eBay Stores, all sales held in escrow for the winner. I estimate a 10-14’ U-Haul for transportation.

Winner will want to visit me here in Chester, VA, and make a physical count. Expect one long day.

     Payment by cashier’s check.

Upon physical delivery of the goods, Winner will have 60 days to copy-cut-paste all items into his eBay store, if that is his choice. We will delete items as this process goes on.

We will also add notices in other select, mostly political, auction sites that our military goods have been sold and that they can be found at such-and-such a site on eBay. If you use other sites as well, or a website, we can only do so within eBay’s guidelines.

Buyer can select anytime he wishes to visit Bulgaria. You’ll need a passport (no visa required) and Oct-May are the best times. Allow for one week, and allow for app 3 weeks advance booking to get best air rates.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Marine Corps USMC US U.S. Military U.S.M.C. Wall Plaque

Welcome to MadKowCrafts!

We know the men and women who serve our country and our communities desire the highest quality at the best prices.  And we believe they’ve earned that right.

Our staff prides ourselves on creating high quality crafts, décor and collectables that honors and tributes those who serve our country and our communities.  Our products are sold at value prices. Super selection, low prices and superior service keep our customers coming back.   Each of our plaques is made one at a time by American workers.  They are not mass produced by some factory overseas using indentured labor.

You are bidding on an 11.5 inch wall plaque made of birch wood.

Our woodcrafts are all made in Dayton, Ohio by dedicated craftsmen. MADE IN THE USA.  Be aware that other woodcrafts sold on eBay are made in Communist China or Communist Vietnam. None of our staff would ever give a Veteran a gift from one of those countries.

GREAT GIFT IDEA!  These make cherished and memorable keepsakes for the special people in your life.  Great for that someone who is very difficult to buy for.  Purchase them for birthdays, weddings,  holidays, anniversaries, graduation, Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day, Christmas, Veteran’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Reunions, Armed Forces Day, Remembrance Day  Military rank promotions, recognitions,  door prizes, going away gifts, boot camp graduation,  Marine Corps Birthday, Air Force Birthday, school or class awards or trophies, the list of reasons can be endless.

Almost every day MadKowCrafts receives a call from a recipient of one of our products telling us how much they enjoy their plaque.  No one ever goes to the big box store and tells the door greeter how much they liked the mass produced, made outside the USA, item.  Think about that when choosing the next gift to send.

While others sellers have a list of Draconian rules that insist the buyer do this or that. We live by a different set of rules:

·         We insist that you do NOT pay handling charges.  We only charge you for actual postage.  We only charge actual shipping costs.  We DON’T charge extra for boxes, packing materials, delivery confirmation or handling.  We charge what the Post Office charges us.   EBay will automatically calculate the shipping charge to your location.

·         We insist on combining shipments to reduce shipping costs to save to save you money. We don’t understand why most sellers won’t do this for you.

·         We insist on FREE U.S.A. shipping if your order is over $55.  And that includes Alaska and Hawaii.  We don’t understand the sellers that’s won’t ship there.  We will!

·         We insist on shipping to APO/FPO/AE BOXES: This does mean we have to stand in line at the Post Office and fill out customs forms.  And we don’t charge extra for that but we ask you allow a couple extra days for this service.  Most eBay sellers will not ship to these.  We will! We believe in supporting our troops.

·         We insist on International shipping.  We don’t understand why most eBay sellers will not ship overseas.

·         We insist you have 14 days to return our products. We don’t understand sellers who won’t take returns or only offer 3 or 7 days return.   If the item is not as described or pictured you will receive a 100% refund. (30 days for APO/FPO/AE Boxes and overseas shipping because of longer shipping times).

·          We insist that you do NOT wait long to received what you paid for. Many times we are able to ship same day, but almost everything ships within 2 business days.  We offer both Priority Mail and Parcel Post shipping, but we recommend Priority Mail.  The cost is almost the same and you get the package faster.

·         We insist you get value for your money.  You work hard for your paycheck and deserve to get quality merchandise at a great value.

·         We insist on packaging your items securely.  Nothing is as disappointing as getting something in the mail which has been mangled and crushed.

We insist on providing positive feedback for our customers. And we believe it’s optional for buyers to leave feedback on the sellers.  Doing so is always a nice courtesy and we thank you in advance for doing so, if you choose. ·        We insist on using sturdy NEW boxes for shipping our plaques.

o         Minimizes damages

·          Minimizes packing materials needed (good for the environment)

·          Reduces shipping weight

·          Boxes are reusable and recyclable

·          Reduces lost in shipping due to multiple labels

·          Reduces clutter in our workshop as new boxes store flat

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We do ship around the world.  We will not list the item as a gift or a sales sample to avoid customs duties.  International sales must be paid thru PayPal.  Because delivery confirmation is not available for oversea shipping, our USPS customs receipt for shipping will serve as proof of shipment sent.  We extend the return time to 30 days from ship date as we know there may be delays for packages passing through customs.

ITEM DIMENSIONS: The plaques are approx. 11.5 inches in diameter.  Each of the three different circles is layered so each plaque has a 3D look to it.  Other items out there have a flat pancake appearance.

LEAD FREEIt seems like every time you turn around a product is in the news because there is lead in the product.  We only use environmentally friendly paints and stains for our woodcrafts.

ECO-FRIENDLY WOOD: We use Birch wood for all of our woodcrafts.  The wood comes from sustained managed forests using environmentally friendly harvesting techniques.

BUILT-IN HANGER: There is a built-in hanger on the backside.  No need to buy extra hardware to hang it on the wall.  It’s ready to hang straight out of the box.

HAVE A QUESTION?  If you have something special you would like us to do let us give you a quote for the work.  We do custom work for Civic groups like Lodges or Councils, businesses and churches.  We also sell to gift shops, gun stores and vendors at flea markets and military shows.

Description:

Please, let me present to your attention a German military-fieldsdentist set, made by Emil Huber and intended for German Army during the WW II. It has neverbeen used!

This study contains 4 metal cases that sized as follows:

1. 68 cm x 45 cm x 28 cm approx. 26 ¾ in x 17 ¾ in x 11 in;  2. 68 cm x 45.9 cm x 28 cm approx. 27 in x 18 in x 11 in;

3. 75 cm x52.5 x 38 cm approx. 29 ½ in x 20 ½ in x 15 in,    4. 75 cm x 52.5 cm x 38 cm approx. 29 1/3 in x 20 ¾ in x 15 in.

The weight of each of them is about 40-50 kg. (some of themweigh may be more). But they are not measured exactly. They are heavy to beborne by one person. The description of the contents of the cases is accordingto the attached list in the set itself. According to my opinion: the set isfull but I am not an expert and it is possible some small parts to be missing orto exist others, not included in the description. (If youneed more pictures, please e-mail me and I will send you more photos). It isquite valid for the medicines inside. According to my opinion, the set hasnever been used and it is in very good antique condition. It is seen from theoriginal lubricant to preserve the condition of the instruments. It is in theform and appearance, done by the producer himself according to the requirementsfor usage by the German army during the WW II. We have not added or taken outanything else. The shipping price is f.o.b. airport customs, identified by thebuyer. Import and airport duties, taxes and charges are not included in theprice or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer?s responsibility. Theinsurance is included in the shipping price. The cases will be sent by aforwarding company to the Customs of an airport, specified by the buyer.

The set has a high collection value.

In very good to excellent condition for its age.
