WW1 RUSSIAN CZAR IMPERIAL CUIRASSIER CAVALRY HELMET

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A RARE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL ARMY MODEL 1909 OFFICER'S PARADE HELMET OF THE LIFE-GUARDS HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY EMPRESS MARIA FEODOROVNA'S CHEVALIERGUARD CUIRASSIER HEAVY CAVALRY REGIMENT.

Description:

Brass skull surmounted by a silver plated crowned double-headed eagle held by four original screw nuts. Matching silver plated leather backed chinscale. Round silver plated officer's cockade with painted orange and black circles. Large silver plated and enameled star of the order of St. Andrew the First Called - reserved only for Life-Guards regiments. Red cloth "curtain" type liner and red velvet backing on a lobster tail style neck guard. Light brown sweatband. Size: 57, Marked with manufacturer's stamp of P. Fokin in St. Petersburg, the main maker of Russian cuirassier helmets.

Condition:
Very good original condition, showing very minor wear. All original parts, no restoration.

This is by far the most beautiful and magnificent example of all Russian Imperial model 1909 parade headgear offered to you in nearly mint condition with all original parts.
