USMC 1st Marine Division KOREA 1st MarDiv PATCH for Korean War Veterans! Marines

1st Marine Division Korea

Attention all Marines and Marine Corps enthusiasts! Here's a FINE example of a unit logo patch for First Marine Division! And the legend KOREA embroidered in place of the usual “Guadalcanal” makes this patch an ideal commemorative for Korean War veterans!

NOTE: Please Visit my eBay Store for other full-color and subdued 1st MarDiv patch listings with "Vietnam", "Korea", "Persian Gulf", "Iraq", and of course "Guadalcanal" emblazoned on the numeral "1".

During WWII, Marines actually wore division patches as a shoulder sleeve insignia.   The practice was discontinued in 1947, but the patches are still worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.  (This, of course, is not a WWII patch, but a modern variant.)

1st Marine Division has a long, distinguished list of battle honors, beginning with WWII where they earned their famous GUADALCANAL blaze!   They have continued their proud history from the mountains of Korea, to the jungles of Vietnam, all the way to the dust of Desert Storm!   Division is based at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Recent Developments:   Of course, 1st Marine Division has made history once again in the hard-fought battles of Operation Iraqi Freedom!  In 2003, as the ground combat component of I MEF, 1st MarDiv led the charge into Iraq and up the Tigris River in the east toward Baghdad.   Since then, they have rotated units in and out of Iraq, and subordinate units fought the battle for Fallujah!

This is a NEW and UNUSED patch.   It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item!  Embroidered on blue twill with merrowed edge and plastic sealed (iron-on) backing.  Colors are clean and bright.  Photo slightly enlarged.  See ruler for size comparison.

Winning bidder/buyer receives automatic notice with payment total. Please use eBay checkout by clicking “Pay For It” button in the e-mail notice or item listing.

PayPal is my preferred payment method. With PayPal, buyers can pay with credit card, eCheck, or cash balance in their account.

US buyers pay $1.00 for packaging and US Postal Service First Class shipment. Will combine shipping on multiple items purchased. Add $0.25 for each additional item, and please pay with a single payment after all purchases have been completed.   (If unsure how to combine payment, please request an invoice, and I will combine the shipping charges for you.)

Canadian buyers pay $1.25 for first item and $0.30 each additional. All other international buyers pay $1.50 for first item and $0.50 each additional. Items ship First Class Mail International to customers outside the US, so please bid only if you have confidence in postal delivery to your address.

Click "Ask a question" link above to make initial contact, and I will respond in kind using the “eBay Messaging” forum.  Please monitor your e-mail and/or eBay "Messages" tab for my response.  I'll share my e-mail address in the response, and you are welcome to communicate with me via e-mail at that point if you wish.

(Your e-mail address will only be used for response to questions or transactions.  I have no interest in sending unsolicited advertising, and will not share your contact info with anyone.)

I try to respond within 24 hours, but hope you understand I do have a life outside eBay, and may not always be so prompt. And please take into account weekends and traditional US holidays.

Messages communicating info about a listed item are appreciated ..... but may not get response quite as fast as a message that requires immediate answer.  I do have to prioritize every now and then.   ;-)

My flat-fee shipping structure covers cost of packaging and postage, and is a best-guess estimate for size and weight of items.  It's not an exact science.   (I have not raised my shipping fees over the years, despite several postal rate increases.)  Items ship in zip-closure poly bags to protect from moisture.  Patches usually ship as First Class letters, but multiple items may ship together as a parcel.

In my experience, the track record of US Postal Service delivery within the US is practically 100% reliable.  I may at my discretion choose tracking and/or insurance for shipments of a certain value.  But the best insurance you can have is to make sure you provide a current and correct postal delivery address, and to check your mailbox regularly.

Items ship within 1 business day of receiving payment.  Check my feedback for satisfied customer testimonials!

I always post feedback after a completed transaction and always appreciate feedback from satisfied buyers. Normally takes me only a day or two, but sometimes I get behind. Please be patient. Also, if you are dissatisfied in any way, please contact me before posting negative. Maybe there's a misunderstanding, or something we can work out.

"No Returns Accepted" is my designated policy, unless an item has a defect or was misrepresented.  I go to great lengths to describe each item honestly and accurately, and there’s a ruler in each photo for size comparison.  I ask that you be sure of your decision before buying. Please read the description entirely and carefully examine the photo. Ask questions prior to bidding.  I try to respond to e-mail inquiries within 24 hours. Please resolve any questions or doubts prior to purchasing.

Buyer’s on-file E-mail address is valid, and checked regularly.

Buyer's confirmed ship-to address is correct and current for postal delivery.
Payment (or communication indicating buyer’s intentions) within three (3) business days is appreciated. If no response, a reminder invoice is sent. If I don't hear from a buyer — in any form — after more than ten (10) business days, a case may eventually be filed with eBay’s Resolution Center to recover the  Final Value Fee (eBay’s commission) on a sale not completed.  In the case of an auction, this usually results in the item being re-listed. :-(

Bottom line:

Please contact me if there are circumstances in which you cannot comply with above expectations.
