WWII Korean War Vietnam US M1 M1C M1D Garand Sniper Rifle Scope Telescope Optics

Original M1C / M1D Garand Sniper Rifle Scope. 4 - Power Weaver K4 with excellent optics. Cross-Hair Reticle is black and sharp as it should be, not faded. Scope is mechanically 100% functioning. Elevation and windage knobs work perfectly... still tight as they should be. Optics are clear and crisp, no lens scratches or chips. Scope has "WEAVER K4" company imprint on the scope tube. All markings are excellent with no fading from wear or buffing. Original Blued finish, has not been buffed or reblued. Small indentation on front bell, not noticeable and does not effect scope function.  Scope has not been cleaned or adjusted in any way, and is exactly the way I found it.  This will clean up nicely.

The Weaver K4 was the only Department of Defense approved replacement scope for the standard M1D Garand M84 scope. The M1D was adopted in September 1944. The majority of M1D examples were created by rebuilding existing service rifles beginning in the early 1950's and continuing through the late 1960's. The M1D design was intended to allow conversion from service rifle to sniper rifle at the unit support maintenance level. Most M1D rifles were equipped with the M84 telescope. However, examples rebuilt in the 1960s have been observed with the Weaver K4 telescope and 1" diameter Mount. No reserve as usual, so good luck. Please see my other auctions for quality items.
