Rick Reeves Framed LIMITED EDITION Civil War print, Army of Tennessee 498/550

Hi all!

You are bidding on a beautifully frame print numbered and signed by Rick Reeves.  "Army of Tennessee" was a limited edition print and this copy is 498/550.  This is a really rare print, I was not able to find it hardly anywhere for sale online.  The frame is simple but elegant with nice matting.  The frame does have a small crack in the class in the bottom left corner, see pictures.

This is one of Rick Reeve's rarer and harder to find peices.

There might be a letter of authenticity inside the frame but I did not want to open it up and damage the frame so I can't say for sure.  But the signature and numbering match all the other Rick Reeves peices I have dealt with that have letters of Authenticity.

I have a lot more civil war art prints I will be putting up so make sure you check out my other auctions.

Any other questions just ask!

Thanks and happy bidding!

The following information was taken from the Wikipedia:

John Esten Cooke (November 3, 1830 – September 27, 1886) was an American novelist and poet....

....In March and April 1862, Cooke served as an unpaid volunteer aide for Maj. Gen. J.E.B. Stuart in the Confederate cavalry. Cooke was a first cousin of General Stuart's wife, Flora Cooke Stuart. On May 19, 1862, he was formally commissioned as a lieutenant and officially joined Stuart's staff. Cooke participated in the Peninsula Campaign and Stuart's subsequent ride around the Union army of George B. McClellan, later writing a detailed description of the action. During the war, he served Stuart as an aide, ordnance officer, and assistant adjutant general, earning the rank of captain. Following Stuart's death at Yellow Tavern in May 1864, Cooke served on other generals' staffs, eventually rising to the rank of major by the end of the war. In 1863, he wrote the first of several popular biographies of Stonewall Jackson. He also published a novel on Jackson, Surry of Eagle's Nest (1866) as well as a biography of Robert E. Lee, officers that he had personally known.....

How to Detect Fake Civil War Swords, 3rd Edition

How to Detect Fake Civil War Swords—THIRD Edition

Here it is—the only book on this subject in print—it is therefore the reference to have. It continues to grow as more fakes are found. Did you realize most of the swords being sold in on-line auctions as Confederate are fakes or frauds? How can you tell which are which?

The second edition had 172 pages; this one has 215 pages with a whole new section on the latest threat: Modern Ames Swords with Civil War dates. This book is packed with information about the most common fakes; lots of pictures of real swords vs fakes; how to take care of your real sword; good places to look for information on the internet; internet addresses of Civil War dealers I trust; and much, much more! Confederate Vs. Union, and more!

This book will tell you how in very easy instructions with lots and lots of pictures; both of the fakes and frauds, and the real things they are trying to copy. If you are a beginning collector of Civil War swords, this is a must read! The minor cost of this book will save you hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and will keep you from buying 99.9% of the fakes that are out there. Almost every day I see many fakes and frauds being sold on on-line auctions—many for hundreds of dollars or even more—don’t you be one of these poor folks who did not do his or her homework! Before you buy a sword, buy and READ this book! It is easy to understand and entertaining; some of the comments from previous buyers:

“Wow—you are right; this book is entertaining! I can hardly wait to go back on line and look for the fakes!”

“Highly recommended for everyone!”

“Thank you so much for writing a book on this topic—it has really been an eye-opener..”

There have been too many good reviews to list here.  Get your copy today!

This is a print on demand book; each copy is individually printed as ordered. Please allow 7-10 days to receive from date of order.

Please see my other books, listed under Edged Weapons: Civil War Sword Collecting for Beginners; and Confederate Sword Collecting for Beginners.
