Wright's Official History of the Spanish-American War, Copyright 1900

Published by the War Records Office, Washington DC This is one of the most amazing books I have seen of Actual Historical Value of the American-Spanish war. This was published by the War Records Office, Washington DC.  Filled with facts and information.  It has a complete descriptive and pictorial record of the Cuban Rebellion, The causes that involved the United States, and the Narrative of our conflict with Spain on land and sea. There are 1500 original illustrations by the great war artists, and pictures taken from the actual scenes by the corp or correspondents and photographers sent to the front lines for the purpose of taking record.  Many very famous master of the brush and camera, such as Grahm, Post, Taver, Clinedist, Sheldon, Blue, Schell, Wilkinson, Hoffman, Rau, Peters, Archibald, Wildman, and Burton.  Many illuminations of double page colored war maps and chromatic prints of flags, seals of all nations, metals, and insigna's that represent all ranks of officers in the army and navy.  This was compiled and written directly from the official records at Washington, with the endorsement of the President, of the Secretary of war, and of the commanding officers showing their signatures of the Army and Navy; There are letters approving of the publication to prove factual.  This was Published by the War Records office.  his was NOT published for sale at book stores. There's even a page (see photo) that shows it was by subscription only to receive a copy of the book. I have take 12 photo's to be reviewed above, but I wish I could have shown more. It's really amazing.  The book is an over sized book measuring 17.5" by 12.5" over 600 pages.  The cover is in fair condition and the binding is loose in the front.  The inside covers have a cloth covering.  The pages are in very good shape, no marks or highlighting. This would be an excellent source of American-Spanish war historic data.If you're local, you can pick the item up and avoid shipping costs.
