2 original rare photos, Boer War Dead in Trenches 1900

Another Great Find from <br />fineamericanart”border=

2 photos of the dead in trenches at Natal during the Boer War, January 1900. I checked online and learned that while noone had these listed for sale outright, I could “buy the rights” from a vendor to use the image of one of these photos for one day for a mere $185.00. So our beginning price represents an excellent buy for the serious collector. These each measure 8.175” x 6” without the mounting. Condition is as shown in the photos below, and we rate that condition as good with the condition of the mounts being fair-to-good. This is a consignment sale. Be sure to read the entire ad and examine all the photos below. Condition: While we provide a written description of condition, our photos constitute an equally important part of that description, so please examine all of the photographs below carefully. In addition, all older and antique items and art can reasonably be expected to have signs of handling, oxidization (toning) of canvas, paper, and wooden components. Please note, too, that all of our photography is done in outdoor shade with ambient sunlight, producing the best approximation of the item’s true colors. When you unpack your purchase indoors under traditional lightbulb (incandescent) lighting, its tonality can appear darker. Second Chance Offers New eBay procedures prevent fraudulent “Second Chance” Offers. Now on higher priced items your bidder’s ID can only be seen by the seller of the item. But if you want to make absolutely sure that any second chance offer I may send you is legitimate, you can look under your own “My eBay” where my offer would appear under your “My Messages” and also under “All Buying” which is in a column on the left side of that area. I do occasionally make second chance offers. If you didn’t bid on my item to begin with, it is impossible for you to get a legitimate second chance offer.Questions about any item: please when you ask a question, please refer to the item by name or number. Because when you ask a question through eBay’s message system, the system does not always refer to a specific item! Important: I never eMail bidders with a private offer to sell during an auction. The latest scam involves bidders receiving “offers” from the seller while the bidding is going on. Ignore all such offers.Shipping: Automatically calculated shipping: shipping amount includes packing, and USPS Priority shipping and insurance. This item is being sold Worldwide. Packages in excess of 104 inches length and girth combined are shipped using UPS, usually UPS “3-day select.” I make every effort to ship within one business day of getting payment, as the feedback I’ve received attests. Our experience is that United Kingdom buyers’ packages are considerably delayed by UK Customs. Return and Refund Policy on Consignment sales:. Except for consignment sales we have a broad return policy. Consignment sales may not be returned, so read the entire eBay ad carefully, look at all the photos, and ask all questions before bidding. This is a consignment sale, and we have indicated that elsewhere in the ad, too. We will do our utmost to describe the item accurately and thoroughly, however the buyer is responsible for making an informed bid. Payment: Online payments via PayPal. I cannot mail to unconfirmed addresses given to PayPal: that makes me liable to chargebacks: An unconfirmed address is one potential indication of the addressee and credit card or bank account owner not being one and the same. Our Feedback: We have the greatest customers in the world. They love art, communicate with us, and pay remarkably fast. As soon as I get your payment I enter your positive feedback. Then I knock myself out priority-mailing your item within 24 hours of payment. So thanks for entering the positive feedback that good art, great packing, fast mailing, quick and open communication, and top customer service warrants! Make us a Favorite:24% of our feedbacks are from repeat customers. We specialize in finding early 20th Century paintings in these categories: abstract art, abstraction, modernism, art moderne, impressionism, impressionist, art deco, cubist or cubism, or modern art. If you join our satisfied customers, consider adding us to your Favorite Sellers. Please Note:
As a gesture of fairness to all bidders we do not reveal the reserve when we have one. This item is available for sale locally, off-eBay, so it is subject to removal from eBay for private sale until the reserve is met. Please do not request that I understate your bid amount or item value on invoices or customs forms. We are happy to answer any other questions about an auction. If payment is not received within 10 days of end of auction, unless buyer and I have made other arrangements, sale will be automatically revoked and/or item will be re-listed. I take pride in describing items accurately. I cannot always be sure of the age, origin, maker/artist, and sometimes not even materials of an item. Otherwise, if I have firsthand knowledge about an item, or anecdotal or documentary material, I will always include it. I occasionally get eMails with the question “Do you guarantee this items authenticity?” When the eBay ad does not explicitly guarantee authenticity, authenticity is not guaranteed, and will not be guaranteed after the sale or privately during the sale, so please read the ad! I like hearing from you and I want to resolve any questions you might have before you bid. I reserve the right to remove and block bids and bidders with low feedback or no feedback who fail to adequately identify themselves on request.
