WWII~WORLD WAR 2~ US Military~New Testament~Bible~FDR

Offered is a simulated leather New Testament pocket Bible issued to military troops during World War II.  From 1940 to 1945, The American Bible Society provided more than 7.4 million Scriptures to those serving in the U.S. armed forces during World War II.

The small book is size 4 1/4" x 2 1/2." The front page features a printed greeting from Commander-in-Chief Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

At the back of the Bible are patriotic hymns, prayers and several psalms. All pages are intact and condition is very good with only light wear. Given the likelihood that this Bible was carried while on active duty, and possibly directly into battle, the condition is exemplary.

Ownership markings indicate the Bible was once owned by T.Y. Adamson of Atlanta, Georgia and later passed to Polly Ann Campbell Stend.

Shipping is $4.00 in the U.S. and actual cost elsewhere.
