Collection of World War Two Postcards and Pictures

For sale at auction, a collection of 8 World War Two postcards and photos and victory mail. All of the photos and postcards come from the Pacific theater of war. I will list the photos and descriptions.

Item 1 - A 4 by 3.5 inch picture of dead Japanese soldiers on one of the Green Islands, right after the US led invasion of 1944. The Green Islands capture was an important development in the war. It was also a staging area for many operations against the Japanese. John Kennedy, when a navy lieutenant, visited these islands. Lt. Richard Nixon was in charge if these islands, after capture. Bob Hope visited these islands to entertain. Writing on the back describes the shoes worn by the Japs. They had spikes to climb trees and to be silent in the jungle. A face of a dead Jap is shown, as well as two other bodies.

Item 2 - Victory mail sent to an address in the US. Relays a Christmas message from the Pacific theater. The victory mail is dated November 26, 1943. The mail is on photopaper and is about 4 by 4 inches.

Item 3 - US military personnel interact with natives in the Solomon Island group. The picture is about 4 by 4 inches. The photo is stamped, "passed by naval censor" on the back.

Item 4 - Postcard of Moorea Peak in Tahiti. Postcard is from about 1944. Postcard is 4 inches by 3.5 inches.

Item 5 - Postcard of Kieta Harbor, Boucainville island, Solomon group. Postcard is 4 inches by 3.5 inches. Writing on the back says it is or was a Jap stronghold. Postcard is from about 1943.

Item 6 - Postcard of the native "Belles" of the Solomon Islands. Postcard is 4 by 3.5 inches.

Item 7 - Picture of a young native woman, Solomon Islands. It is 4 inches by 4 inches. It is stamped on back, "passed by naval censor."

Item 8 - Postcard of the native "Tabous" of the New Hebrides Islands. Postcard is 4 inches by 3.5 inches.

All of these pics, postcards are AUTHENTIC. They are NOT copied or reprinted. They all were taken by my father or purchased by my father when he was in the Seabees in this area in 1943-1945. The victory mail was sent by my uncle to my grandparents. Everything listed here is REAL, World War Two militaria!!! Destined to be very valuable as the the years go by.
